Tomorrow is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
How can you participate?
Students had the chance to participate in different activities all morning:
After lunch, students walked down to the river where we held our assembly filled with songs, drumming and a variety of presentations.
Since school began, we have been discussing RESPECT and what it means in the classroom. We combined our ideas together into a handy-dandy poster, which we have all signed and pledged to follow throughout the year. It will hang just outside the door as a constant reminder of how to be a classroom community.
Students also created posters showing how to show respect in other areas of the school.
Each student created a square of art.
Today's team challenge involved working together to keep a balloon in the air as long as possible - without talking!
Students were challenged to create their names in three dimensions!
Plus - students shared the story of their names!
Today's Team Challenge involved talking and debating with group members. Imagine each object was covered in paint. After using the object, what would your hand look like?
